Our summer reading program is wrapped up for the year. Coupons for free soft serve from the Huckle and Sage were handed out with free books and dinosaur stickers. For lunch, the kids had Dino nuggets generously supplemented and prepared by Country Barn Corner Bar & Cafe. Big thanks to all the volunteers and donations that made this possible. And thanks to the parents who brought their kids and tagged along. ❤

Friday July 31st!! Tomorrow is our last summer reading day of 2026! It's been a great time making new friends, crafts, and memories. Kids who completed their reading log will get a free ice cream cone voucher donated by the & sage. Every kid who joins us tomorrow will get a goodie bag and a book to bring home! As always, lunch and crafts are provided.

Today we were looking at real fossil specimens ! Beth Terry, a volunteer, generously brought pieces from her own collection to share with the kids. It went perfectly with our fossil excavation craft.

Crazy weather we're having! Unfortunately, it means we'll be doing a fossil excavation craft inside today instead of tie-dye outside for kid's summer reading. It ALSO means you have until Sunday July 19th to send in your child's t-shirt size for tie-dye next week!!

For library kids programs, we are doing tie-dye t-shirts this Friday!!! 11am-1pm, we'll be reading a dinosaur book and providing free lunch as well. Hope to see you there (:
Last week, we had the kids taking turn reading The Little Mermaid during lunch too.
