🏘️Use extreme caution when driving through neighborhoods of school zones.

The Quaker School at Horsham (TQS) started with 2 students in 1982 and now supports 120 students with complex challenges to blossom and achieve meaningful personal, social and academic success.

Attention Horsham Township!

🚸You may have noticed that our school zone lights were turned on this week to test for the new school year.🚸

They will officially be turned on Monday, August 31st for the first day of school. 🏫

Please be alert and patient as traffic flow during those times will be affected slightly. 🚌

Simmons Elementary School Zone:
8:15am - 9:00am & 3:15pm - 4:00pm

Hallowell Elementary School Zone:
8:00am - 9:00am & 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Keith Valley Middle School Zone:
7:10am - 9:15am & 2:45pm - 4:15pm

Please keep our children safe by keeping your eyes on the road and open for children crossing at the crosswalks.

🚧Attention Horsham Township!🚧

Horsham Township’s milling & paving contractor, James D. Morrissey is scheduled to start milling in Horshamtowne (Brownstone Lane, Brownstone Drive, Horseshoe Lane, Horseshoe Circle, Cobblestone Circle, Cobblestone Drive, and Carriage Drive) on Friday August 28th.
Then begin milling Hidden Meadows (Coach Road, Colonial Drive, Lamplighter Road, & Lantern Lane) on Monday August 31st to Tuesday September 1st.

Looking ahead, James D. Morrissey is scheduled to start milling Sarah’s Lane, Bark Hollow Lane, Logger Mill Road, Lumber Jack Circle, & Downey Drive, Wednesday September 2 & Thursday September 3rd.

Paving crews will be approximately 2 to 4 days behind the milling to start handwork and paving.

During the paving projects, all street will be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles. Meaning, if you reside on the roadway that is being resurfaced, you will be allowed access to and from your home.
Other residents using these roadways are to plan in advance for extended traffic congestion, brief total road closures, and detoured routes.

Please keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change at any time for a variety of reasons. Stay tuned for updates!

Also, please note that asphalt is HOT! 🔥
Keep children and pets away from areas until complete and use caution at all times to avoid harm!

Remember that school will be in session so please be mindful and aware of your surroundings as the children and families make their way in to school.

We just wrapped filming for an upcoming video highlighting Horsham Township—and we can’t wait for you to see it!

Produced in partnership with the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the video will showcase what makes Horsham such a great place to live, work, raise a family and do business.

Our goal is to shine a spotlight on everything that makes Horsham special while helping attract new businesses and economic opportunities to our community.

Filming is officially in the books, and the finished video will be coming later this fall.

Horsham Township's 3rd Annual EcoVent will be here soon and we want to see you there!

🌎♻️Our annual EcoVent will provide FREE paper shredding, e-waste recycling and a tree give-away in a community effort to help keep our environment and township clean! ♻️🌎

When: Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-11am
Where: Horsham Township Municipal Complex - 1025 Horsham Road

Please note: This program requires proof of residency, so please be prepared to show your drivers license with your address to a volunteer who will be checking ID’s.
