Farmers — did you know you can support Atchison County Lake with grain instead of writing a check? 🌽

Through the Gift of Grain program, local producers can donate bushels of unsold grain and designate the proceeds specifically for the Atchison County Lake.

This year, the Friends of Atchison County Lake are working toward a $10,000 goal to develop RV and camper sites with level gravel pads, electrical service, and water hookups.

Whether it’s a few bushels or a truckload, it all moves us closer to the goal.

The grain is donated directly through the foundation before sale, and there may be tax advantages depending on your individual farm operation. Talk with your tax professional to see if a Gift of Grain makes sense for you.

You grow it. We’ll turn it into something the whole community can enjoy.

We will explain those clues in a couple weeks, and that might help with next year’s clues, so stay tuned!

Watch the whole video to find out just how tired this Friend of the Atchison County Lake Committee member is! 🤣
