A special thank you goes out to all the local fire departments, who played a crucial role in organizing every step of the flooding operation. If you enjoyed the opportunity to give back to the community, we encourage you to consider joining your local fire department.

I will send out an invitation to our meeting tonight at 7 PM. We invite you to stop by to express your gratitude or to learn more about becoming part of the volunteer fire service. We would love to have you join us!

We understand that you may not be able to respond to every call due to family, work, and other commitments. However, the calls you can make, which others may not be able to, can truly make a difference. You have the potential to help someone on their worst day. If you have been considering this opportunity, please take the time to fill out an application or speak with someone in any department for more information.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dave David Van De Loo and Flying Fortress Fireworks in Kaukauna for their recent contribution. Last Saturday, Dave and his crew led a comprehensive class at the Ellington Fire Department, centered around safety procedures for first responders dealing with fireworks. This training is highly recommended for firefighters, emergency responders, and police officers. The class is a must-attend. We appreciate the time you took to share your expertise. The evening fireworks display was a notable highlight. David Van De Loo

Friends and community members β€”
Over the past week, we filled and distributed a significant number of sandbags. If you received sandbags, used them, or are assisting others in your area who did, please take a moment to review the tagged information. It outlines safe handling and disposal practices for sandbags following a flood. Be safe!

Big shout out to MCC, Inc & the Murphy family for 100yrs in the business & for DONATING all the sand & trucking of it to our location. It was quite the donation to help those in need! They have a great video for their 100th anniversary.

On Saturday, it was deemed we would no longer need to send sand bags to Fremont (Waupaca County) from EFD. You / we filled until all our sand was gone regardless. We are informing you that today, the remaining pallets of sand bags still on site were delivered to Winnebago County. Thanks goes out to R. J. Immel Excavating & Ort Trucking who today hauled the rest on hand to be deployed there. Anyone that helped at our operation has now helped 3 counties: Outagamie, Waupaca, & now Winnebago. Feel proud of the support you have provided along the Winnebago system.

We are always eager to help our neighbors. Pictures can convey a lot of information. If you have any photos from the sandbagging efforts at Ellington, please share them. They will help us keep track of the number of people involved, the materials used, and the number of trucks and trailers. Let’s do our best to assist in any way we can.
