Today, Heroes Elementary students participated in the meaningful tradition of raising the American flag from half-staff to full-staff at noon on Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

The morning hours were dedicated to honoring and mourning the brave men and women who gave their lives fighting for our freedom. Raising the flag at noon symbolizes our nation’s resilience and determination to move forward while never forgetting their sacrifice.

We are forever grateful for the courage, service, and sacrifice of our military heroes.

Our Student Leadership Team wrapped up the year with a fun end-of-year celebration! We are so grateful for these hardworking students and the many ways they helped serve our school throughout the year.

From leading morning announcements, greeting students at the door, helping students get to class, serving as tour guides, and so much more, these students consistently demonstrated leadership, responsibility, and kindness each day at HES.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to making our school a welcoming and positive place for everyone!

We are so excited to now have a beautiful new “Buddy Bench” at HES, generously donated by a local Girl Scout troop!

Throughout the year, the girls worked hard designing, constructing, and painting the bench with the goal of encouraging kindness, friendship, and inclusion among our students. What a meaningful project and lasting gift for our school community!

Three members of the troop are HES students: Aubrie Allison, Mira Flaute, and Penny Henderson. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort, creativity, and generosity that went into this special project. Thank you for helping make HES an even kinder and more welcoming place for our students!
