Some of our most popular items checked out from Hosford Library might surprise you! The Downton Abbey Series 5 DVD set remained highly popular, with adults checking it out 11 times, while children's DVDs like Nanny McPhee circulated 6 times in the last year. Popular adult authors included Samuel C. Gwynne, Nancy Mehl, and Laura Morelli!

Happy Hive Homeschoolers begins this week! See you on Saturday, September 5 at 10:30 am ET for a themed storytime with crafts and activities. This program is best suited for ages 4 - 10, but all kids are welcome.
This week's theme is "It shore was a good summer!"

September is National Library Card Sign Up Month! Celebrate by registering for a library card today. At Liberty County Libraries, all new adult card registrations will be entered into a prize raffle drawing while each new kid's registrations will receive a small prize! All you need to register for a library card is a valid photo ID with current address or proof of address.

We can't wait for you to discover all of the services your library has to offer!

Hosford Library patrons checked out over 3,000 items in the last year! While the adults seemed to really like the library's DVD collection, the most popular kid's collection was picture books.

Since we've received a lot of calls recently about our annual Bay County Writers Fest that's usually in early October, here are a few updates!
- We've moved it to the winter. Our tentative event date is Saturday, February 20, 2027!
- Writers Fest applications will open mid-November 2026.
