A big thank you to the Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department for having us out for a night of training!

We spent the evening going over aircraft operations and talking about how we can work together and assist their crews during large-scale incidents. We always enjoy getting out and training with our local fire and EMS partners, and we even got to meet the coolest dog at the fire station, who seemed to be just as big of a fan of the helicopter as we are! 🐶🚁

Happy National Aviation Day!

Today is a great day to recognize not only aviation, but all of the people who make it possible!

We are pretty lucky to have such an awesome team! From our pilots to our medical crew and to our mechanic (who won’t let us take his picture 🤣). It takes a full team to keep us flying and ready to respond and we couldn’t do it without such a great team!

Help us welcome our new Flight Nurse Jeff Williams to the team! Today is Jeff’s last shift on 3rd seat orientation.

Jeff brings 20 years of nursing experience to the team with a background in both the Trauma ICU and as a travel CVICU nurse. When he’s not caring for patients, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and fly fishing. He’s also a wildlife photographer on the side!

We’re excited to welcome Jeff to the team and look forward to the experience he will bring to our team!

Training opportunities like these are a great way to refresh LZ safety, strengthen communication, and build relationships before an emergency happens. We look forward to continuing our partnership with such a great department!
