Fall River County has changed our website address to a “dot gov” or government domain address. The change from fallriver.sdcounties.org to fallrivercountysd.gov is part of a nationwide effort to make government websites easily identifiable. The .GOV domain is only available to verified government entities. This allows citizens interacting with a .GOV website to feel secure that they are using a legitimate government website.

Links to the old county site will continue to forward to the new address for some time but the county does encourage citizens, businesses, and agencies to begin using the new web addresses as soon as possible. This includes updating any saved links or bookmarks. It may also be necessary for some users to clear their browser cache to ensure the website loads correctly.

This is the first phase of this project. The second phase will involve moving county emails to a .GOV address later this summer.

If you run into issues accessing the website please contact the public information officer, Stacey Martin, at 605-745-7584, or [email protected]
