“On Sunday, I had the opportunity to visit with OST President- Frank Star Comes Out. He shared his frustrations with current leadership and the challenges and needs facing the people of Pine Ridge.

As governor, I will work to rebuild trust and strengthen the government-to-government relationship between the State of South Dakota and our Tribal Nations. Tribal leaders will be partners in the decision-making process on policies that impact their communities. I will listen, show up, and work every day to earn the trust and respect of our Native brothers and sisters.”
