We start at the "Lover's Leap" trailhead at 10 am, just on the other side of the French Broad from the town of Hot Springs and hike the Appalachian trail to Hurricane Gap. The entire trip is approximately ten miles, or 3-4 miles each day. Difficulty level is moderate. To make the trip light and easy, backpacks will be transported by car to the campsite each evening. CoreyPine is Director of the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine and has spent the past 15 years helping clients by artfully blending Chinese and Western herbal traditions with a focus on local plants. As a seasoned wildcrafter he has extensive knowledge of local plant identification as well as medicine making. He has written on herbal medicine, teaches across the country, and is a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild. CoreyPine believes that laughter is an essential part of any medicine chest, which is why he is a part of the Wise Guy school of healing. About John Immel
John Immel is the founder of leading Ayurvedic dieting website JoyfulBelly.com. He studied Ayurveda under Dr. Vasant Lad and in India. He currently runs a diet & digestion clinic in Asheville, NC and teaches nationally. John started his career with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Harvard University. He first discovered Ayurveda while working on public health and service projects in South Asia & the Middle East.
