We heard it's National Dog Day! Today is a good day to give your four-legged best friend an extra treat, an extra walk, and maybe a little extra attention. It’s also a good reminder to make sure your cat or dog is licensed with the City of Hot Springs!

Under City ordinance, all dogs and cats kept within city limits are required to have a current city license. A current rabies vaccination is required to obtain a license, and licensed animals receive a city tag to wear on their collar. This tag is used by animal control, should they get picked up.

If your dog is new to the family, your tag has gone missing, or you’re not sure whether your pet’s license is current, stop by City Hall, and we’ll get you squared away.

This position handles ordinance and property research, correspondence, records, deadline tracking, and administrative support throughout City Hall. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and sometimes challenging situations professionally are a must. Starting Wage $13.90-17.37/hr. DOEQ.

The Fleet Mechanic monitors and directs the day-to-day activities and operations of fleet maintenance; coordinates and provides maintenance and repair to city department vehicles and machinery. Oversees and performs skilled tasks in the servicing, repair, and maintenance of a variety of city equipment and vehicles; oversees the inventory and procurement of all applicable parts, supplies, tools, fuels, and equipment needed with supervisor assistance;
