Join Grand County Historical Association and our new Historical Preservation Board at GCHA's Annual Meeting at Snow Mountain Ranch for an evening of dinner, a look back at the past year and ahead to 2027, followed by a special presentation from historian B. Travis Wright.

Go beyond the tracks and uncover the human stories behind one of Colorado’s greatest engineering feats. Through rare photographs and extensive primary-source research, Travis reveals the triumphs, hardships, and forgotten lives that shaped the journey over Rollins Pass and through the Moffat Tunnel.

Tickets are $45 per person and include dinner and drinks.
Please purchase your ticket by September 17th!
Please note: Some earlier promotional materials incorrectly listed tickets at $35. The correct ticket price is $45. We apologize for the error and any confusion.

Tickets are available now! Purchase at the museums or online at: https://gchaonline.square.site/

At yesterday's RiverBank event hosted by the Colorado Water Trust, Commissioner Linke accepted the David Getches Flowing Waters Award on behalf of the Colorado River Connectivity Channel partners.

Since its construction, Windy Gap Reservoir was one of the most complex, long-standing water conflicts in Colorado. Rather than dig in and continue to fight from our respective corners, we created relationships to understand one another's needs.

This year, more than any other in our recent history, we've needed the Connectivity Channel to help address stream temperatures and aquatic health in Grand County and downriver.

THANK YOU to the Colorado Water Trust for recognizing this effort, and to our partners for staying committed the solution!

We were honored to recognize Kent and Cindy Hester this morning. Kent, a Vietnam Veteran, recently made and donated boxes for community members to respectfully retire American flags.

Boxes can be found at the Kremmling Mercantile and the County Administration building in Hot Sulphur Springs. If you have a damaged, faded or torn flag to retire, please traditionally fold it and place it in one of the boxes to be collected by our Veteran Services Officer.

Grand County is working with the Fraser River Valley Housing Partnership to conduct a county-wide Housing Needs Assessment.

There are three different surveys:

* One for housing stakeholders

Complete all that apply to you and help shape future decisions and investments! The Housing Needs Assessment is required for state and federal funding, but is also critical information for community development. Please include your input.
