🌟 If you haven’t checked out our My Grown-Up & Me playgroup yet, we’d love to see you on Tuesday mornings from 10:00–11:30 AM!

🧊🐻 On this day, children took on an exciting challenge: rescuing toy animals trapped in ice! They made predictions about which tools or methods would work best, then tested their ideas through hands-on experimentation.

🔍 Activities like this do more than strengthen hand-eye coordination, they encourage persistence, problem-solving, and curiosity. Through trial and error, children learn an important lesson, “I am someone who can solve problems and figure out how the world works.” 💡✨

Yesterday, we did some behind-the-scenes moving as we relocated all of our staff — and LOTS of stuff! — to the Tree House Indoor Playground. 💪📦

Right there helping us move with smiles, a sense of humor, and plenty of muscle were some members of the Michigan Tech Huskies Football Team! We truly appreciated the guys graciously taking care of the heavy lifting and making the day so much easier. 🙏

Many area families have already been taking advantage of the Rx Kids program! ❤️👶

Infants born on or after March 1, 2026, and expectant mothers living in Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw Counties are eligible to apply.

Upon verification:
💵 Moms receive $1,500 during pregnancy
👶 Babies receive $500 a month for 6 months after birth

Families can enroll anytime from 16+ weeks of pregnancy until a baby is six months old, as long as the baby was born after March 1, 2026.

This program is designed to help support local families during pregnancy and early childhood - with no income requirements and no strings attached.

Tomorrow’s the day! ☀️

Join us Thursday, May 28 from 10 AM–Noon at Lake Linden Park for our very first Playtime in the Park of the summer!

One of our favorite traditions returns as fourth graders from Ms. Wetton’s class at CLK Schools participate in one-on-one story time with children attending the event. Each child will receive the book they were read, along with a handwritten note of encouragement from their fourth-grade reading buddy. 💛📚

Playtime in the Park is designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers, but children of all ages and their families are welcome to join us for this FREE community event!

The Tree House’s Thursday morning playgroups are heading outdoors once again this summer! ☀️🌳

Playtime in the Park starts next week, and we can’t wait to gather with families at local parks throughout the summer for outdoor fun, friendship and playtime in the sunshine.
