Suddenly, after years of non-interest, there is motivated interest in actually doing something with this page. Frankly, getting some lowkey threatening noises behind the scenes. So. Poll time. Local people only, not open to outside the Greater Keweenaw. Not open to Keweenaw Socialists. Y’all have your own group and social media. So, basically, Greater Kewenaw Bernie Family who feel particularly aligned with the national platform, which, btw, includes killing the US Senate, did you know that? Put potential poll questions in the comments and be willing to meet in person to discuss local ownership of this page. This admin is not interested in dealing with the hyperbole & controversy anymore, and for sure would like to hand off TO LOCAL DSA folks. Sing out if you’re interested in either or both. Don’t forget to vote this coming Tuesday.

Come walk with the Houghton County Democratic Party in the Strawberry Festival Parade, 7/11! Lineup is between 9:30 & 10:30. We’re all in this together! (In other news, kind of cool to see the BBC calling this full moon “Strawberry Moon,” the name the Anishinaabe have called it, well, forever in human terms.)

The Strawberry Moon is set to rise in UK skies tonight, marking the first full Moon of the summer season. It will reach its peak in the early hours of Tuesday, 30 June, according to the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
