Thank you once again to The Giving Quilt Inc for their heartfelt and generous donation of beautiful hand-stitched quilts. Each quilt is lovingly made and serves as a tangible reminder to the children we serve that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

We are incredibly grateful for your continued support and the comfort, warmth, and kindness you help provide to children in foster care. Thank you for making a difference, one stitch at a time. 💙

We started the week with an adoption, so it’s only fitting we end the week with one too! 💙

Congratulations to CASA Catherine Viator, who has been advocating on this case since October 2023. Over the past two years, she has built such a strong and special bond with this sweet boy. He gets so excited every time he sees Catherine, especially because he still remembers the mini trampoline she gave him for Christmas! Every visit, he proudly shows her just how much he loves it. 🥹

Catherine, thank you for your unwavering support, dedication, and love throughout this journey. You have truly been the best sidekick to this strong and adorable little superhero. 🦸‍♂️✨

This week, CASA of Terrebonne had the opportunity to speak with both the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Houma to share more about our mission, the work we do, and the impact our community can have on the lives of children right here in Terrebonne Parish 💚

The more people who hear about CASA and our mission, the more opportunities we have to recruit compassionate advocates for children who need them most. Sometimes, all it takes is one conversation for someone to realize they are exactly who a child has been waiting for 👫

If your business, organization, church group, civic club, or community group would like to learn more about CASA of Terrebonne and how you can make a difference for local children, we would love the opportunity to come speak with you! 🗣🤝

Together, we can ensure every child has a sidekick on their side 🦸‍♂️💙

CASA of Terrebonne was honored to participate in CASA Day at the Capitol alongside Louisiana CASA and fellow CASA programs from across the state! 💙⚖️

It was an inspiring day at Louisiana’s beautiful Capitol filled with meaningful conversations, collaboration, and advocacy for the children we serve. We had the opportunity to meet with legislators, connect with other CASA programs, and proudly witness CASA being recognized during the House of Representatives session for the life-changing impact our advocates make across Louisiana.

Moments like these remind us how powerful awareness and advocacy can be for children in need of a voice. Every conversation helps shine a light on CASA’s mission and the difference compassionate volunteers make every single day.

A heartfelt thank you to Amanda Moody and the incredible staff of Louisiana CASA for organizing such a special and impactful day. We are grateful to stand alongside so many passionate individuals working to make a difference for Louisiana’s children! 💙

🎓 Congratulations to Shaylynn Dufrene for being named the recipient of the Gabrielle Hernandez Scholarship! 💙

Gabbie was a compassionate Advocate who loved serving her community and changing the lives of children through her work as a CASA volunteer. This scholarship was created to honor her incredible legacy.

Shaylynn graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School in May 2026 and will attend Tulane University this fall, where she plans to major in Neuroscience 🧠✨ Her heart for service and passion for helping others make her a truly deserving recipient.

Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, Shaylynn, and best of luck in this exciting new chapter! 🌟

Finding a forever home is always the best way to start the week 💙

Congratulations to CASA volunteers Tori Hill and Shannon Rhodes on completing their case! Assigned to this sibling set last year, they hit the ground running and formed an incredible bond with these twins along the way.

These advocates worked tirelessly to help ensure the girls had everything they needed to feel safe, loved, and truly at home, from bedroom furniture to other important necessities.

To make this story even more special, the foster mom was once a CASA volunteer herself, making this a beautiful full-circle moment that ends with a bright future for two little superheroes. 🦸‍♀️✨

Today, CASA of Terrebonne was excited to host Leilani Brunet, RN, and Amanda Theriot, Peer Support Specialist with South Central Louisiana Human Service Authority, for an impactful Lunch & Learn 💙

Advocates and staff learned more about substance use disorder, addiction, and brain chemistry. As substance use continues to rise, trainings like this are more important than ever for the children and families we serve.

Thank you, Leilani and Amanda, for sharing your knowledge and helping us grow in our understanding and awareness ✨ Also, thank you to Honey Baked Ham for helping us provide lunch!
