Start Corporation Start Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1984. We are proud to serve communities throughout Louisiana.

Our Mission is to promote opportunities, which enhance the self-sufficiency of people to empower them to live and function independently. We offer Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Community Based Services, Veterans Services, Crisis Care and Homeless Outreach/Coordinated Entry throughout the state of Louisiana. Currently, we operate five Federally Qualified Health Centers and are excited to add two more this year. Start Corporation received 3 Year CARF Accreditation for Case Management/Services Coordination, Community Housing, and Community Integration. 💜Opioid Awareness in Our Community💜

Last night, Start Corporation had the opportunity to attend the Opioid Awareness event presented by the Louisiana Department of Health, Terrebonne Parish Library, and the 32nd JDC Family Preservation Court.

The evening brought together education, valuable resources, and powerful personal stories surrounding the opioid crisis in our community. We learned more about life-saving resources such as Narcan and heard incredibly touching testimonies from overdose survivors who courageously shared their journeys toward recovery.

Their stories were a powerful reminder that recovery is possible, support matters, and no one should have to walk this journey alone. 💜

Thank you to LDH, Terrebonne Parish Library, and the 32nd JDC Family Preservation Court for bringing our community together for such a meaningful evening, as well as Serenity Center and Me VS Me for their sponsorship and support of this important event.

Veteran Peer Supports Faith Cothran and Brenner Ledet from the SSG-Fox Program had the privilege of participating in Nicholls State University’s 7th Annual Su***de Prevention Resource Fair.

They connected with students, shared Veteran su***de prevention resources, and joined others in our community who are passionate about raising awareness and providing support. We’re grateful to Nicholls State University for the opportunity to be part of this important event.
