We have a generous veteran offering to donate a lift chair to another Fayette County veteran in need. If you are a veteran or know of a veteran requiring this lift chair, please contact our office at 740-335-1610. This offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The attached picture is an example of what the chair looks like. Please, only veterans in need respond. Thank you!

Join us for an afternoon of connection and community, as we share a nourishing meal with the individuals who make our hometown shine. Let's come together, with family and friends, to celebrate our local heroes and the simple joy of sharing food. This event is FREE for veterans and first responders, and just $5 for the community, with proceeds supporting the growth of our community garden - all are welcome to attend. Thank you Flor & Co. for the beautiful wreath that you made us for the Veterans of 1776 Festival.

This is a free event and the reenactors are here and ready to talk history with you!

Stop by Gardner Athletic Field and see them. They will be here all weekend.

You will hear them setting off the cannons around 10:00am tomorrow. Stop by and see them. Tomorrow night around 7:00pm they will do the veterans ceremony to remember the veterans of 1776.

This will be a great event! You won’t want to miss it! 🇺🇸

We will again be opening our doors to the Veterans of our community and all who support them! The Military Chow Hall will be hosting a meal for Veterans at the Washington CH FD May 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
