💦This super fun market is back!! This Saturday we are opening at 4 PM with a soccer shootout with Diesel the Fox, cooling everybody off with water activities, and keeping the food, music, and shopping going until 8. If you have never been, this is the one to come to.

Working in the restaurant industry gave Manuel del Ángel more than a job. It gave him the motivation and knowledge to pursue his own vision. With determination and years of hard work behind him, he took the opportunity to become an entrepreneur and build Tacos El Jaibo.

When Manuel del Ángel arrived from Tampico, Mexico, in 1999, he came ready to work and build a better future. His journey began as a restaurant employee, where years of experience inspired him to take the next step and create something of his own.

Today, that determination lives on through Tacos El Jaibo, where Manuel proudly shares his passion for authentic Mexican food with the Gulfton community.

What a successful third annual Back-to-School event, helping local students start the school year prepared and ready to succeed! 📚✏️

More than 1,500 backpacks were distributed to children in need, along with diapers, resources, and other essentials for local families. But the day was about more than giveaways—it was an opportunity for HPD officers, community partners, sponsors, and families to connect and strengthen relationships throughout Gulfton.

A huge thank you to HPD, our sponsors, partners, and everyone who helped make this year's event possible. We can’t wait to make it even bigger next year! 🙌

Celebrating 250 years of American independence right here in Gulfton!

This special celebration brought our community together to reflect on what America’s 250th anniversary means to the people who call Gulfton home. From stories of immigration and becoming a proud U.S. citizen to recognizing those who continue to serve and strengthen our community, the day was a reminder of the many experiences that make up the American story.

A special thank you to the Office of Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones for presenting a Certificate of Recognition commemorating the celebration and recognizing the leadership and service happening within our community.

Here’s to celebrating our history, our diversity, and the people who continue to shape our future. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Company OnStage brought the community together for A Taste of the Season, an afternoon filled with creativity, cake tasting, family fun, and the exciting reveal of their 2026–2027 season!
From talented local bakers to plenty of smiles, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the arts and get everyone excited for another great season of live theatre. ✨
