January 28th has been officially established as Sexual Assault Survivor's Day in Texas, thanks to Rep. Tan Parker and his work on HB 2298.

Our goal is to hold space and recognize survivors every day. But today, we specifically want to honor our most resilient Texans.

Sexual trauma claims by veterans wrongly denied by VA, investigation finds

Last year alone, the investigation found the agency wrongly denied as many as 1,300 claims due to insufficient training and oversight. That left potentially thousands of veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder without benefits, a VA inspector general investigation found.
