This has definitely been a week full of so many different emotions and now my son is officially an adult.

Happy 18th birthday Reggie!! All I can is WOW.....The time has definitely flown by! It seems as if yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital in your car seat now you are in the drivers seat. You have become one of the most respectable, independent,kindhearted and caring young men that I know. You’ve made me a very proud momma and I pray that you get all that heart desires. I love you and I hope that you enjoy your day and I’ve printed out your voter registration card❤️❤️

JLOC is back after taking a year long hiatus!! We are having our Masquerade Affair on Feb 29th from [email protected] Twenty10 Event Venue, tickets are only $10.00. Please join us as we celebrate our 5th year anniversary serving the community❤️❤️Free food, BYOB (set-ups & Hurricanes avail for purchase), and music provided by JY’s very own DJ Birdmann. Hightower HS cheerleaders are hosting a cheer camp on August 3rd from 9am-1pm for only $30.00. The cost includes a t-shirt, pizza, certificate of participation, and admission to the August 30th in which they will perform. If interested please let me know.

Our 4th Annual Back to School Drive & Community Outreach Fair was a huge success on this past Saturday. Without our sponsors, volunteers, vendors and JLOC friend and family we couldn’t have done it. We were able to equip over 350 kids with backpacks,school supplies, uniforms and free food. We were also able to equip the parents with valuable information from our local community partners! Thank you God for all your many BLESSINGS and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for JLOC!

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, here at JLOC we want everyone to know that we are committed to supporting our local community during this difficult time. We also want parents to know that we are thinking of our kids and helping them get back on track for the school year. Putting a jloc twist on Harvey relief efforts - we are going to hold another back to school drive on 9/23 (see flyer) - Free school supplies and backpacks while they last! We'd love everyone to come out for fun and fellowship! #jloccares
