Israel, Greece, Cyprus, and the United States officially launched the East Med Energy Center on June 11 in Houston, Texas, marking a significant new chapter in regional cooperation on energy, technology, innovation, and research.
Hosted by Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, home of the East Med Energy Center, the initiative will strengthen collaboration on energy security, cybersecurity, innovation, and critical infrastructure by bringing together governments, universities, researchers, and industry leaders from across the region.
The launch represents an important step toward a more secure, connected, and resilient Eastern Mediterranean.
