After Christmas the next anticipated season of the year is tax season. According to msn.com some refunds will be delayed this year as a tactic to prevent fraud. The Protecting Americans for Tax Hikes Act of 2015(PATH) allows the IRS to delay refunds for people who claim Earned Income Tax Credit(EITC) or additional Child Tax Credit(ACTC).So if you have a child that you claim on your taxes the IRS will be taking more time to verify data to make sure it is legit. The refunds will be held until February 15 and this delay also applies to people who file taxes early. So if your looking forward to get out of the debit from all the holiday shopping with your tax returns make other plans to cover the delay.
