When a city grows and grows and grows and the fire department personnel, fire trucks, ambulances, equipment and fire station numbers do not increase at the same rate as the city…this happens.
Write to your local council member and the mayor and ask them why HFD may not be able to get to your loved one in time to help. Ask them why the city spent millions of tax payer dollars to have not 1, but 2 large scale assessments on this exact issue, to expand HFD resources, and the mayor just threw that information in the trash like it never happened.
MILLIONS of your tax dollars!
It’s a scary thought….but this is reality and it needs to be handled.
All of HFD’s issues can end with the resignation of the “CEO”, as he likes to call himself.
Stay safe. We will always be here for you. It just may take us a little longer to get there. It’s not from a lack of effort, we can promise you that!
Residents won’t find the information on the city’s publicly facing Houston Fire Department website.
