Thank you to Ames Construction and Local 49 for partnering to put on the Ames Heavy Equipment Rodeo. 79 students from across MN participated in a day filled with Operating Engineers Pathway experiences including: machining and welding, skills training using dozers, skid-steer loaders, excavators, and cranes, surveying GPS devices and overall crane/heavy equipment operations. It was a great day! The Operating Engineers Pathway in partnership with Local 49 International Union of Operating Engineers offers high school students a chance to prepare for and explore careers in equipment operation.
