As our employee of the quarter, DeShondra demonstrated incredible leadership by taking on additional projects such as bike lane enforcement and training new personnel.

She has strategically kept her staff's productivity on track during a transitional period. She does not hesitate to join them in the field by providing hands-on, real-time mentoring and coaching.

It’s no secret that she has always been a team player but during the past quarter, ParkHouston relied on her skills even more and she met the challenge with excellent customer service for internal and external customers.

Houston’s New Dedicated Bicycle Lane Ordinance: What’s at Stake?

Understanding the importance of not parking and blocking bike lanes. #KnowParking

By Phoebe Zipper This fall saw the Houston City Council pass a big win for cyclists: an ordinance prohibiting vehicles from parking in dedicated bicycle lanes. Bikers navigate Houston by way of a patchwork of dedicated lanes, on-street lanes, and neighborhood streets. With the new ordinance, the

I parked a semi tractor (no trailer) on the street (Rolido Drive) alongside my apartments. I received two citations for each day I was parked there. Meanwhile a car with two flat tires has been parked on that same street for months, no citations. I've parked my truck there before with no issues. Supposedly this is a "residential area" despite having a giant strip center sharing the curb where I was parked. I guess we're back to being nuisances, right? God forbid I don't want to park my truck several miles away from my home. How long before you send these citations to the company? I'll just pay the fines each time if the company doesn't need to be notified. All in all it's still ridiculous.
The Census Bureau's ongoing surveys assist in measuring the economic impact of pandemics and other emergencies, creating plans for the country's eventual recovery. #NationalEMSWeek recognizes the work that EMS workers provide to communities and without Census data, EMS workers would not have the information needed to respond to emergencies quickly and effectively. Respond today at 2020Census.gov to make sure your community is prepared for any emergency. #ACO3186 Safety First Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKgeweuen4o
Today is a great day to remind you criminals that it’s illegal to chalk tires on cars for parking tickets. 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
Hey Jackasses. You violated mine and others Constitutional rights...this isn’t going away quietly 🖕🏻
Why are parking meters downtown taking people's money today, December 24th, when the parking apps all say there's no charge today?
Why do truck drivers get citations when there is no trailer on the back of the truck when we come home form over the road an park on the side of the street not blocking no traffic an about twenty cars are parked in the same area are truck drivers not to come home we have lives to or where do we park that's close our apartments or homes it's not right you go to work stay gone weeks at a time come home an can't park your commercial vehicle with the risk of it being towed when there is no posted signage that says no parking of commercial it just to steal our money or what??????
If I were to come up to a typical intersection in Houston, there is no doubt I will see a homeless person. You know what I wouldn't see...any painted lines or curbs telling me where I can and can't park. This city is a joke, run by a clown named Sylvester Turner.
I dropped my husband off at Bush airport yesterday morning. He went into the terminal. I got in the driver’s seat. I immediately realized there was a problem. The vehicle is keyless and the fob was in my husband’s pocket. I could not leave or move the vehicle. It was 3:45 am! I looked around for anyone who could assist me. No one was around. I went into the terminal to see if someone in security could help me. My husband came back as he realized what he’d done. He gave me the fob and as I went back to the vehicle a guy was putting a ticket on my vehicle for leaving it unattended. I tried to explain but he wouldn’t listen. All of this took less than five minutes. I can’t believe that the city needs $70 that bad.
No citation with photographic evidence? No public response? And it was a station that did a piece on violators the previous year. Your silence is deafening.
ParkHouston; Feeling the Post Harvey Love; just got FIRST NOTICE of a parking ticket occurring 9/27/17, for my son's car; THE FIRST DAY WE RETURNED HOME POST HARVEY, and there was NO PARKING. Thank you so much. I'd contest but do not have time. I cannot even believe that you would give a ticket at such a time, with the area torn apart and in turmoil. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. This will be paid today but I totally disagree with the mindset that led to this.
I received a citation for parking in my own driveway last night. This is beyond absurd and it’s private property. The violation? “Blocking the sideway”... Well, the sideway ENDS at my house and it’s broken/uneven. Perhaps the City of Houston should come finish the sideway before ticketing me for obstructing it. Your employee, Steven, has a vivid imagination! Citation # P44034033
