At the Galena Park I.S.D. (GPISD) Board of Trustees meeting on March 8, 2021, the GPISD Board approved an order to cancel the May 1, 2021 trustee election after receiving certification that candidates for trustee positions 1 and 2 were unopposed after filing deadlines expired.

Ms. Adrian Stephens will continue her service as a trustee in position 1, and Ms. Wanda Heath Johnson continues her long-standing tenure as trustee in position 2.

“Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Stephens have been loyal trustees dedicated to improving the lives of our students and community,” said Dr. John Moore, Galena Park I.S.D. Superintendent of Schools. “It is a pleasure to continue working with them and the rest of our Board to provide the best possible educational experience for each of our students.”
