288th supported the football game Friday night in Houston with the honor guard and game ball delivery.

288th commander participated in the Hurricane Katrina Staff Ride in Gulfport, MS.
Special Guests were Governor Tate Reeves, The Honorable Tulsi Gabbard, and the 63rd Governor Haley Barbour.
This 20th year commemoration was a great honor to remember the National Guard response to the nation’s most devastating natural disaster.
As well as the units deployed to Iraq and returning to loss of loved ones and homes.

288th conducted weapon PMI&E and gunnery skills test preparation. Also supported 858th Engineer Company in transporting bridge sections to Houston MS. Platoon PT and promotion of 1LT Caudle in Legion Lake. 1LT Morales also instructed Sapper Knots training.

288th Soldiers passed Air Assault School.
SSG Welch and SGT Jones trained all year and successfully earned their wings. The unit will aim to incorporate their sling load training into the mission year.

288th commander attended the Joint Engineer Operations Course in Wright-Patterson AFB to better train in joint operations with Army, Marines, Navy, and Air Force Engineers.
