Fantastic Legislation introduced today that would eliminate the waitlists and the variety of waivers - HCBS Access Act. The legislation would make home and community-based care a **mandatory** Medicaid benefit, gradually eliminate waiting lists for services, strengthen the home and community-based care workforce, and provide greater support for family caregivers. Did you receive a voucher (Tx Freedom Account) for your child with disabilities?
850K kids receiving sped services - less than 25 receive $16-30K….

The Texas Education Freedom Account directors warned parents that most would not receive the maximum voucher amount, but many families still hoped for more to pay for costly private schools.
