Students from HHP's Master of Athletic Training program and Dietetic Internship program collaborated to present their findings at the Interprofessional Education Seminar on March 9th 2022. This seminar provides an opportunity for students to collaborate and learn how Dietitians and Athletic Trainers can work together in different situations.
Three Laboratory of Integrated Physiology doctoral students have each won a Student Research Development Award (SDRA) at the Annual Meeting of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (TACSM). Kudos to the award winners pictured below: Rebekah Hunt, Justin Crane, and Molly Wong Vega.
Rebekah Hunt (“Aerobic fitness determines lymphocyte function in glucose-depleted conditions”) and Justin Crane (“Effects of cardiorespiratory fitness on leukocyte mitochondrial function”) are mentored by Dr. Emily LaVoy.
Molly Wong Vega (“Randomized control trial of an individualized physical activity prescription & promotion program in adolescents with CKD: physical activity & quality of life outcomes”) is mentored by Dr. Melissa Markofski.
