City of Houston Boil Water Notice Lifted

A boil water notice has been issued for the City of Houston! Everyone should boil the water before drinking, cooking, bathing, and brushing their teeth.

OEM is monitoring weather for the Thanksgiving Day parade.
Happy ! If you’re cooking this holiday, be sure to check the batteries in your smoke alarms. Home fires increase during the holidays.

FIRST AID:
Houston Fire has ambulances available for first aid at the beginning & end of the parade route. Look for firefighters on red golf carts moving throughout the route for those who need assistance
If you still plan to head Downtown for the parade, there's plenty of space on the southern side of the route, near the Pierce Elevated
We encourage fans attending the parade to fan out due to overcrowding on the north side of the route near Smith St. & Preston. Please pick your viewing spots throughout the route.
PLEASE PLAN AHEAD:
Use METRO or use Rideshare to get the Downtown area. Arrive early, come prepared with water, food & drinks. Be patient & have fun 2022
Traffic Advisory: If you're traveling into Downtown from I-10, the exit to Smith St. is now closed. The intersection of Franklin & Smith St. is also closed. More road closures coming at 9am
