Virtual internships are an outstanding means of gaining real-world experience in a professional setting. Students completing virtual internships work remotely from a location of their choosing, placed with a company and work closely with a supervisor. The duration of your internship will last from 6 – 10 weeks.
The Office of Study Abroad will still offer scholarships even though you have not left Texas!
With pre-approve your internship will allow you to receive course credit.

Calling all UH-D students graduating soon! As a part of our Study Abroad For Free Series, today we will be sharing the Erasmus Mundus program funded by the European Union. This program will fully fund your master's degree for 2 years to study in a variety of European countries and universities each semester. Application is open to any citizen from any part of the world. It covers all of your tuition and travel expenses and grant you a monthly spending stipend of $1,300. You can work part-time internships while studying!
The deadline for Academic Year 2022-2023 is March, but you can also start a plan for this year or the next academic year.

Thinking about studying abroad for Fall, Winter, 2022 or next Spring 2023? Start looking into your next greatest financial resource, the Gilman Scholarship!🖊️
Earn up to $5,000 with this scholarship that can apply towards in-person or virtual study abroad experiences for any program length. The scholarship, can be used to pay for flights, tuition fees, travel insurance and much more!
Remember you are If you are an active-duty service member or learning a critical language, remember there is an option to increase your award by adding Gilman-McCain or Gilman Critical Need Language Award
To be eligible you must be a Pell Grant recipient.

Different countries add their own touch to these meals such as South Korea often celebrating with rice cakes and savory pancakes. Moon cakes are another tradition which people in China and Vietnam enjoy. They are about lunar appreciation and Moon watching, and mooncakes are regarded as a delicacy. Mooncakes are offered between friends or at family gatherings while celebrating the new year. Mandarins are also enjoyed as a lucky food, meant to bring happiness and good luck 🍊

Today is the start of the Lunar New Year for 2022, which is the year of the tiger. The tiger represents a symbol of courage in the Chinsea calendar. It is one of 12 animal symbols of the Chinese zodiac (Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep/Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar/Pig).
Many countries will celebrate with parades, music, fireworks and even traditional dragon dancing.
