Busy afternoom for our EMTs . Our first due ambulance has been out since 12pm today serving the citizens of Howard, Rockwood Park, & Hamilton Beach .

To those in the Howard Beach area .

There will be a Full-Scale Emergency Response Exercise on 4/22/17 at JFK Airport 10:30AM-1:30PM. Flights will not be impacted, however you may notice simulated smoke and numerous emergency vehicles in and around the airport. Nothing to worry about !

Our thoughts & prayers are with the New York City Fire Department this evening after their loss of a brother while operating at a 2nd Alarm Fire earlier today .

We recently recieved an upgrade in our communications system. Members recently tested our brand new ATSP system. This system will help us recieve & respond to incidents affectively & safely .

Spring is in the air and so is an increase in pedestrian and vehicle traffic around town. Located centrally in Howard Beach, we get a firsthand look at how busy our area gets. Although we will do our best to make sure you remain safe, you can do your part by driving carefully and looking both ways when crossing the street. Have a great week !

When 911 is called, our heroes at dispatch are more than likely going to send a Fire Engine with an Ambulance for medical calls. There are several reasons for this.
