The Howard Public Pool will be closing at 5:00 PM today. Sorry for any inconvenience, but we will
have a staffing shortage. We will be closed Wednesday-Sunday, August 5th - 9th. We will open again Monday-Wednesday, August 10th - August 12th, and will permanently close at 9:00 PM on the 12th.

We’re thrilled to announce on July 24th, 33 enthusiast children completed the second session of swimming lessons at the Howard Public Pool. Despite unpredictable weather their determination never wavered.

To celebrate their achievements each child received a creative certificate from their lifeguard and a refreshing Powerade or pop — generously sponsored by an anonymous donor, because every splash deserves a little fizz!❤️

We also had 12 children participating in private lessons, who are currently on their way to making waves on their own.

Thank you to all the children, parents, and lifeguards who made this an amazing year at the Howard Public Pool. Your energy, support, and spirit make this community shine!

Due to weather conditions the Howard Public Pool
is closing at 2:00 PM. Thank God for the rain!!

The Howard Public Pool is closed for the remainder of the day. The heat index hit 111 degrees F at 3:18 P.M. We’re hoping the weather will be better tomorrow. Stay hydrated and safe! See you then!

Due to the heat index reaching 111 degrees F yesterday, the Howard Public Pool closed at 5 P.M. Per pool policy, the pool must close whenever the heat index reaches 110 degrees F or higher.

With high temperatures forecast for the rest of the week, we will continue to monitor the heat index closely. If it reaches 110 degrees F or higher, we will again be required to close the pool for the safety of our patrons and staff.
