Howard, WI

Duck Creek Quarry Park remains completely closed to all users; however, plans are underway to open it for limited use and primarily for Howard residents later this month. The Village Board voted 5-4 to open the beach for swimming with several conditions. Limiting the number of people is necessary this year due to high water levels that have caused a shrinking beach area, as well as the closures of other aquatic facilities in neighboring communities that likely would cause larger-than-normal crowds at the beach.
