NOTICE: Garbage pickup will be delayed 1 day for the Village of Howards Grove due to inclement weather and road conditions. GFL will pick up garbage on Thursday, 03/19/2026 instead of Wednesday this week.

❄️ Weekend Weather Alert ❄️The weather forecast is predicting significant snowfall this weekend. While our winter parking restrictions have officially been lifted, we kindly ask everyone to please use courtesy when parking so our snowplows have enough room to safely and effectively clear the streets.

If possible, consider parking off the street or giving plows extra space to work. Your cooperation helps keep our roads safe and passable for everyone.

❄️Effective immediately, winter parking restrictions have been lifted 🙌
That said, if we experience a significant snowfall we ask residents to avoid parking on the street so snow plows can safely and efficiently clear the roads.

❄️ Snow happens… slipping doesn’t have to!

This is a reminder that Village Ordinance 335-10 requires snow removal from sidewalks within 24 hours. Clearing sidewalks helps ensure a safe environment for everyone, especially those who walk our community every day.

🎄 Holiday Schedule Update 🎄

Garbage collection will remain on Wednesday for both this week and next week. 🚛

Please be advised that Village Hall and the Public Works Department will be closed on December 24 and 25, as well as January 1, in observance of the holidays.🎄

Public Works is doing the best they can today but will not be able to do a complete snow removal due to it also being garbage day. They will be back out tomorrow to finish the cleanup. Please be patient.

In the meantime, please make sure to clear the snow around your mailbox so mail delivery can continue safely and without delay.
