Last week, some of our providers were recognized at the Michigan Health Frankel Cardiovascular Center's Survivor Celebration!👏

💙⛓💛Every link in the chain of survival matters. From quick-acting bystanders who immediately initiated CPR to the dispatchers coordinating the response to our crews who delivered critical, advanced life-saving care on the scene at a local Howell 5K. Because of this seamless team effort, a life was saved, and a survivor got to return home to his family.

It is an honor to stand alongside regional healthcare partners to celebrate these incredible outcomes and the first responders who make them possible.

🚑Providers recognized from our department:
Jeff Hough- Paramedic
Jason Whiteson- Paramedic
Rodney Laverty- Paramedic (not pictured)

Please join us in thanking our crew for their dedication, skill, and commitment to keeping our community safe!🌟

📢Cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, but bystanders can make all the difference.
Right now, fewer than half of the people who experience cardiac arrest receive CPR before emergency responders arrive. We can change that.
The American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers initiative is working to ensure that anyone, anywhere, is prepared to step in and provide lifesaving CPR.
📝Why it matters:
• Immediate CPR can double or even triple an adult or teen’s chance of survival.
• Infants and children need CPR with breaths, and more than 23,000 kids experience cardiac arrest outside the hospital each year.
• CPR is a skill almost anyone can learn, and knowing it empowers you to act with confidence in an emergency.
🎯The AHA has set a bold goal: double survival from cardiac arrest by 2030.
Awareness, CPR training, and access to AEDs are key to getting there.
Join the Nation of Lifesavers. Learn CPR. Become the link in the chain of survival that someone may desperately need.
👉 Take action today and become a lifesaver.
