This morning the Ramtown Fire Company attended the annual Monmouth County Fallen Firefighters and valor awards ceremony held at Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office and Fire Academy . Members were recognized for their life saving efforts stemming from a serious MVA on August 10th 2025 when a vehicle crashed into a business on Rt 547 and Oak Glenn Rd. Members responded to the call and within 9 minutes of arrival, stabilized the vehicle, attended to the unconscious patient and removed the roof of the vehicle. Patient was extricated from the vehicle and handed over to EMS but unfortunately later passed away at the hospital. The building which is the site of a local restaurant suffered significant structural damage and a large gas leak due to the cooking equipment being struck and damaged. Utilities were secured and members stood by for over 7 hrs while the Howell township building department, Howell Township Police Department and Monmouth County Prosecutors Office conducted the accident investigation.
