The members of the Ramtown fire company were out at Mercer county fire academy for live fire training this morning. We would like to thank the academy for inviting us out to train with them today and to the Howell Township First Aid and Rescue Squad #1 for providing an ambulance for us.
Interested in becoming a member stop by the firehouse on Tuesdays 7pm to 8pm or Saturday from 9am to noon.

Annual Fire Prevention Open House this evening from 6pm to 8pm. See the trucks, talk with the firefighters and learn about fire safety practices from Howell Township Fire Bureau. Fire safety trailer will be at the station to discuss safety devices in your home and Safety actions your family can take to help keep everyone safe. Bring the entire family! Light refreshments are available.

It is with great sadness that we announce that we lost one of our own today. Life Member Robert Hotmar passed away this morning surrounded by family members, after a recent illness. Bob was currently serving as company Trustee and was a past Chaplain and Past Safety Officer. Bob's love for helping the community and especially being a firefighter started may years ago when he started as a firefighter in Mercerville FD. In 1977 Bob started in the Howell Township Fire Bureau wearing many hats within the bureau and retiring in 2015 as Chief Fire Marshall. The firehouse will seem empty without Bob's bubbly personality as he was always there to share a laugh, help out with any project or fundraiser or to offer advise to the new members.

Please help us welcome a new addition to the Ramtown Fire Co family. Charlotte Ray Belluardo, was born this morning to President Nicholas Belluardo and his wife Kaitlin. Mom and Charlotte are doing great and Nick couldn't be any more of a proud dad already. We wish them the best as their family grows!

Public Service Announcement from our friends at the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office. You may see a slight haze and even smell a faint odor of smoke, it may be reminants of the Canadian Wild Fires. But if you see actual flames or heavy smoke, don't hesitate to call 911 to report it. We'll be on our way to handle the situation.

Due to the extreme heat forecast for tomorrow, the July 4th celebration has been postponed.

🇺🇸 IMPORTANT UPDATE – HOWELL TOWNSHIP INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION POSTPONED 🇺🇸
Due to the forecasted extreme heat, Howell Township has postponed its Independence Day Celebration scheduled for Thursday, July 2.

The decision was made out of an abundance of caution, as the expected high temperatures could create dangerous conditions, especially for young children, older adults, and those with underlying health conditions.

A new date will be announced once it has been been finalized.

Please help spread the word, stay safe, and take the necessary precautions during the extreme heat.
