Please help us welcome a new addition to the Ramtown Fire Co family. Charlotte Ray Belluardo, was born this morning to President Nicholas Belluardo and his wife Kaitlin. Mom and Charlotte are doing great and Nick couldn't be any more of a proud dad already. We wish them the best as their family grows!

Public Service Announcement from our friends at the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office. You may see a slight haze and even smell a faint odor of smoke, it may be reminants of the Canadian Wild Fires. But if you see actual flames or heavy smoke, don't hesitate to call 911 to report it. We'll be on our way to handle the situation.

Smelling smoke outside? It may be drifting into our area from Canadian wildfires.

Wildfire smoke can travel hundreds of miles and may reduce local air quality. Residents—especially children, older adults, and those with heart or respiratory conditions—should monitor conditions and limit strenuous outdoor activity when air quality becomes unhealthy.

Check current conditions at AirNow.gov and continue to monitor local alerts and forecasts.

Hopefully this heat breaks today. Please try to stay as cool as possible even though some of us don't have power back yet. If you feel as though the heat is getting to you and show some of these symptoms, call 911 right away.

EVENT UPDATE

Due to the extreme heat forecast for tomorrow, the July 4th celebration has been postponed.

🇺🇸 IMPORTANT UPDATE – HOWELL TOWNSHIP INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION POSTPONED 🇺🇸
Due to the forecasted extreme heat, Howell Township has postponed its Independence Day Celebration scheduled for Thursday, July 2.

The decision was made out of an abundance of caution, as the expected high temperatures could create dangerous conditions, especially for young children, older adults, and those with underlying health conditions.

A new date will be announced once it has been been finalized.

Please help spread the word, stay safe, and take the necessary precautions during the extreme heat.

Tuesday drill night. Members trained on water supply and pumping operations. Newer operators got some much needed time behind the controls.

Calling all youngsters, ages 16-18 to come and join the Jr Firefighter ranks. Learn new skills, become part of an emergency organization to help the community and make lifelong friends.

The members drilled on search confidence tonight at the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office and Fire Academy . The guys encountered different obstacles while following a hose line through a building. Skills practiced were search techniques, teamwork, air consumption and radio communications. Valuable lessons learned! You can never train too much for a job that can kill you.

Last evening the guys took part in a little team building event, some good old summer softball. A lot of fun, lots of laughs, a ton of Advil and even a little blood shed. Great times with great people. We'll do this again, but next time maybe a little less athletic as some guys were wiped out.
