The Livingston County Board of Commissioners is holding a Special Meeting Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Board Chambers located at 304 E. Grand River in Howell. The public is invited to attend in person or remotely. The purpose of the Special Meeting is to interview and consider nominations and appointment for the vacant District 3 County Commissioner term. Canvassers will reconvene tomorrow, August 12th at 9:30 a.m. to complete the remaining work necessary in order to close the canvass of this election.

Delegates to County Convention, also known as Precinct Delegates, elected at the August 4, 2026 Primary Election have been certified. Certification letters are being mailed to each person elected as a delegate and you will present that notice to the credential committee at county convention. Voters who have been notified by their city or township clerk about a signature deficiency on their absentee ballot have until Friday, August 7th at 5 p.m. to to cure the signature deficiency. If cured, the ballot will be brought to the canvass and the ballot will be tabulated. Learn more about signature cure guidelines using the link below.
