We have received several complaints of people on the electric bikes riding at night and are very hard to see by other drivers. Some have claimed “near misses” with these electric bikes. If the are not equipped with a headlight, reflectors, or other safety equipment please consider not riding them after dark. If you are on them and disregarding traffic laws we will stop and visit with you about your driving. We want everyone safe so no one gets hurt.

We also have been getting complaints of ringing doorbells and running away. Ding d**g dashing maybe fun to some but not to the elderly or those with odd work schedules who go to sleep early. While it seems to be simple fun it is not completely harmless to some involved. Please be considerate in your choices on what is fun. If there are traffic violations or other criminal acts and you are caught you will be dealt with in accordance to the law. Please be safe and have a great 4th of July holiday.
