This evening, the Hoyt Lakes Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 300 block of Leeds Rd.

Crews responded quickly and worked alongside Aurora Fire Department, Palo Fire Department, and Biwabik Fire Department to bring the incident under control. Hoyt Lakes Ambulance was also on scene providing medical stand by.

We would like to thank all of the responding agencies for their teamwork and professionalism. Incidents like these highlight the importance of the strong partnerships between neighboring departments.

Over the past week, members of the Hoyt Lakes Fire Department have been deployed to assist with the wildfires near Ely, working alongside local, state, and federal firefighting agencies.

Our firefighters have spent long days protecting homes, communities, and Minnesota’s forests under challenging conditions. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving wherever they are needed.

This week, we recognize and thank the dedicated EMS professionals who answer the call day and night to serve our community. During EMS Week, the members of the Hoyt Lakes Fire and EMS Department are proud to provide compassionate care, rapid response, and support when our residents need it most.

From medical emergencies to community events and everything in between, our EMTs, Paramedics, and First Responders are committed to protecting and caring for the people of Hoyt Lakes.

Join us on April 11th, 2026 at the Hoyt Lakes VFW for a great night supporting a great cause ❤️

🍔 Burger Fry: 2–8 PM
🎱 Bingo: 6–8 PM
🎟️ Raffles all night!

All proceeds will go to the family of Sgt. Cody Siebert.
