PUBLIC NOTICE
RED FLAG WARNING ISSUED – IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF CONTROLLED BURNS
Effective immediately, a Red Flag Warning has been issued for our area due to critical fire weather conditions, including strong winds, low humidity, and dry vegetation.
All controlled burns and open burning activities must stop until further notice.
These conditions significantly increase the risk of fires starting and spreading rapidly. Even small, previously contained burns can quickly become dangerous and threaten lives, property, and natural resources.
We ask all residents and property owners to fully comply with this directive and remain vigilant during this period of elevated fire danger.
🔥 Fire Safety Reminders
Do not burn debris, trash, or vegetation.
Avoid using outdoor equipment that may create sparks (welders, grinders, chainsaws) in dry grassy areas.
Properly dispose of ci******es — never throw them from vehicles.
Do not park vehicles on dry grass, as hot exhaust systems can ignite vegetation.
Keep trailers’ safety chains from dragging and creating sparks.
Have water sources and fire extinguishers readily available when working outdoors.
Report smoke or unattended fires immediately to local authorities by calling 911.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping protect our community during these dangerous fire conditions. Updates will be provided as conditions change and when controlled burning may safely resume.
