The Hubbardston Police Department is a full service Law Enforcement Agency serving the small rural Massachusetts town of just under 5,000 people. Hubbardston is located in north central Massachusetts, and is bordered by the city of Gardner, and the towns of Rutland, Barre, Templeton, Westminster and Princeton.

⚠️Detour! Road Construction⚠️
On October 1st which is tomorrow the DPW will be working on Williamsville Rd in the area of Mt Jefferson Rd. The road will be open from Main St to through traffic and will be detoured down Hale Rd to Barre Rd for the day. One lane of travel is open while the DPW paves one lane of the road! Please use caution or avoid the area if possible.

Use caution on Worcester Rd in the area of the Comet Pond Beach entrance as there is a tree partially blocking the road and a broken utility pole. National Grid has been advised and has crews enroute.

Also use caution on Hale Rd in the area of #95 as there is a tree partially blocking the road with electrical wires involved. National Grid has been advised of this as well.

UPDATE - Roadway is back open as of 1:15pm

Mt. Jefferson Rd is closed today for utility work in the area of house #86 until approximately 2:30 pm. To access residences up to #85, you will need to enter from Williamsville Rd. To access residences #86 and above, you will need to enter from Cross Rd. We apologize for the late notice, but this closure was required to accommodate the equipment working in the area.

DCR Recreational Advisory: Asnacomet Pond



What: Beginning on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and continuing through Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the Department of Conservation (DCR) will close the boat launch parking lot at Asnacomet Pond in the Town of Hubbardston to accommodate paving work. The pond’s beach area will remain accessible during this time.
