The Riding Center at Carriage Hill MetroPark provides opportunities for children and adults to experience and connect with nature on horseback. This public horseback riding facility offers horseback riding activities for beginner through intermediate riders focusing on safety, balanced position and proper horsemanship skills.

These campers did so well during their riding demonstration at Carriage Hill MetroPark Riding Center last week! Summer camps at the Riding Center are always a bit, but so are all the other programs that are offered and Saturday pony rides! Head to metroparks.org/ridingcenter to learn more!

Pony rides will be canceled for Saturday, July 18 due to the heat predicted, air quality, and potential for storms. We've had a couple ponies have issues with the heat this week, so we just want to be cautious. We hope to see everyone, weather-permitting, the following Saturday (July 25) when we will resume our Saturday pony rides from 1 to 3 pm for youth ages 2-8.

After an hour delay waiting for the inclement weather to pass, we are going to cancel pony rides for the rest of today. We hope to see you next weekend, weather permitting. Saturdays 1 to 3 pm for ages 2-8. Fee is $7 per ride.

Just a reminder, there will be no pony rides on Saturday, July 4 due to the holiday. Weather permitting, we'll resume next Saturday, July 11 from 1 to 3 pm for youth ages 2 to 8. Tickets are $7 and we also offer SNAP discounts.

We still have spots open for our Valentine's Day weekend event with our ponies Carriage Hill MetroPark Riding Center this weekend - Saturday Feb 14 at 11 am and Sunday Feb 15 at 1pm for youth ages 2 to 17 and their families.

Join us for our Valentine's Day event with the ponies at Carriage Hill MetroPark Riding Center! Youth, ages 2 to 17, can have their picture taken with our ponies and decorate a Valentine to take home. Snacks and hot chocolate will be available. Program Fee: $20

We are hosting two dates: Saturday, February 14 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. AND Sunday, February 15 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m.

Getting the horses out for a few hours to stretch their legs after the winter storm! Horses and ponies had some time in the indoor arena on Monday and got to get some fresh, although cold air yesterday and today. They enjoyed being outside!
