After 25 years of dedicated service, we’re saying goodbye (and a huge congratulations!) to Firefighter/Paramedic and Fire Investigator Mark Lynn.

Mark has been a true part of the heart of the Huber Heights Fire Division. Whether he was on a call, investigating a scene, or just hanging out in the day room, Mark always found a way to make everyone laugh and turn even the toughest days into something better. His stories, positive attitude, and genuine kindness made the work environment a place people actually looked forward to being.

He will be greatly missed. Nobody will be able to fill his shoes.

Mark, thank you for everything you’ve given to this department and to the community of Huber Heights. We wish you nothing but the best in whatever comes next—you’ve more than earned it.

Congratulations on a well-deserved retirement!

It’s Fire Prevention Week at HHFD!

This week crews spent time at a number of area elementary schools, Studebaker Preschool and St. Peters Elementary teaching students about fire safety!

Kids learned about 🎺The 5 Golden Rules of Fire Safety🎺:
1. Matches and Lighters are tools not toys
2. Call 9-1-1 in an emergency
3. Smoke Detectors tell us to get out and stay out
4. Stay low and go when smoke is in your house
5. Have a family meeting place outside

We laughed, we danced and we learned to be fire safe. Thanks to all the students who participated and the schools for having us!

The Huber Heights Fire Division honored Godfather’s Pizza today with City Council. Godfather’s Pizza has been gracious enough to donate pizza for the Fire Divisions annual open house every year since 2011! We presented them with a helmet as a token of our gratitude. Thank you Godfather’s Pizza!
