It is not a traditional public forum and the City reserves all rights to control the content. Comments expressed on this site, other than those posted by the City do not necessarily reflect the opinions and position of the City of Huber Heights or its elected officials, officers and employees. The City reserves the right to discontinue this site at any time for any reason with or without notice. This Saturday, October 24, is DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, a nationwide effort to encourage the safe and responsible disposal of unused or expired prescription medications.

Can't make it Saturday? The Huber Heights Police Division also offers a prescription medication drop box for safe disposal year-round.

This past Monday, Chief Lightner was honored with a special proclamation recognizing his service and dedication to the City of Huber Heights. The occasion was even more special as we celebrated his 60th birthday!

Chief Lightner, thank you for your years of leadership, commitment, and service to our community and the Huber Heights Police Division.

The Huber Heights Police Division is asking for the publicโ€™s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with a burglary investigation at the Haydon Park Apartments, which backs up to the Mount Hood area.

The suspect was wearing a very distinctive hooded sweatshirt featuring the number โ€œ75โ€ or โ€œ79โ€ in white on the back. The number appears intentionally faded, with a name written across it. The sweatshirt also features a diamond or jewel-like design covering the hood.

TRAFFIC ALERT: The homecoming parade is Wednesday, beginning at 6 p.m. at Huber Center and progressing down Chambersburg Rd. to the high school.

Homecoming week is always special, for current Wayne High School students as well as graduates. Spirit week activities will take place all week at the high school, including Thursday's pep rally.

The homecoming parade is Wednesday, beginning at 6 p.m. at Huber Center and progressing down Chambersburg Rd. to the high school. The parade features the Air Force Junior ROTC flag corps, police and fire, school district and city employees, youth sports groups, the homecoming court, Wayne sports and academic teams and clubs, and dance groups.

The homecoming football game is Friday at 7 p.m., with the Warriors (3-4 overall, 3-1 GWOC) hosting Miamisburg (4-3, 2-2). The week's events conclude with Saturday's homecoming dance.
