Today, the Hudson Fire Department would like to thank Lauren Letendre and the team SiteOne Landscape Supply for inviting our members to a morning cookout at their Hudson location.

Beyond the great food and hospitality, we would especially like to recognize Lauren and SiteOne for their continued partnership with the Hudson Fire Department. Lauren has been working closely with our department to make improvements to the fire protection systems at their Hudson facility, demonstrating a strong commitment to the safety of their employees, customers, first responders, and our community.

Partnerships like this are an important part of Community Risk Reduction (CRR). While emergency response will always be a core mission of the fire service, preventing emergencies and reducing their impact before they happen is equally important. Working collaboratively with local businesses allows us to identify potential risks, improve fire protection and life-safety systems, and help create safer environments throughout our community.

Community Risk Reduction works best when public safety agencies, businesses, property owners, and residents work together. SiteOne’s willingness to proactively work with our department is a great example of that partnership in action.

We sincerely appreciate Lauren and everyone at SiteOne Landscape Supply Co. for their hospitality today and, more importantly, for their continued commitment to fire and life safety here in Hudson.

Hudson Fire Department and Mutual Aid Partners Respond to Mass Casualty Incident at Industrial Business: HUDSON — The Hudson Fire Department and mutual aid partners responded to a Mass Casualty Incident at an industrial business on Thursday morning and transported 16 people to area hospitals.

Please join us in welcoming Firefighter/EMT Timothy Landry to the Hudson Fire Department. Tim comes to us from a neighboring fire department and has two years of experience.

After being appointed by the select board on Monday night, he was officially sworn in by Town Clerk Joan Wordell in front of several family members and members of the department yesterday morning. Tim was then pinned by his father and Retired Stow Fire Chief Joe Landry.

Tim has now officially started his training program alongside several members of the fire department.

Hudson Firefighters and SAFE educators Stephen Weaver and Cam Bower had a great time at the Hudson Massachusetts Police Department’s National Night Out event last night!

Hudson Fire SAFE educators FF Cam Bower and FF Jon Nemergut, along with Deputy Harrington were pleased to visit the Hudson MA Senior Center yesterday for a safety presentation.

A variety of topics were covered in the presentation, including maintaining smoke detectors, fire prevention and avoiding trips and falls in the home. We also went over the importance of keeping an up to date “File of Life” nearby in the event of a medical emergency. These provide crucial information to first responders in a timely manner.

We appreciate the opportunity to spend some time discussing these safety tips.

Today, members of Hudson Firefighters Local 1713 took another step toward enhancing our training capabilities by laying out the future placement of shipping containers that will become our new training yard.

Once complete, this customizable training facility will provide a realistic environment for firefighters to sharpen critical skills, including:
🔥 Live fire training
💦 Hose movement and deployment
🚒 Pump operations
🔎 Search and rescue operations
🏠 Roof prop
🚘 Vehicle extrication area
📝 Outdoor classroom

Continuous training is the foundation of a strong fire department. This investment will help ensure our members are prepared to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us most.
