Established as a volunteer library by members of The Hudson Junior Woman’s Club in 1980, the predecessor to the Hudson Area Public Library existed without direct tax support. The Hudson Area Public Library District was established as a result of a citizen

referendum in Hudson, Hudson Township, parts of Money Creek and Unincorporated Normal Township. The vote was held on March 17, 1992, and the question was approved by a nearly 70% vote. On May 12, 1992 the Hudson Area Public Library District became officially established.

🌿"Sowing Seeds" will soon be drawing to a close. Friday is the last day for tweens, teens, and adults to turn in "Seed Sower" book reviews and earn your custom "Seed Sower" button and chances to win a $25 Amazon gift card. The display will be up until Friday, September 4. Stroll the aisle to see what others have been enjoying this summer. 🌿

Hey, Hudson, have you had a chance to peruse the display of mini-reviews written by your fellow community members? Now that the rush of Summer Reading is over, we're savoring what we've read and sharing our thoughts with others - sowing story seeds! You can contribute your own Story Seed(s) through Friday, August 21. The display will be open until Friday, September 4. Books are the seeds; your mind is a garden. 📚🌿
