Late last night, non emergency phone lines went down in our area (Hudson and many of our neighboring communities). 911 was still operational for emergencies. An alert message was sent out through our CodeRED community alert system. If you have not signed up for our CodeRED alerts, now is the perfect time to do so!

UPDATE: The issue with non emergency phone lines has been resolved. All lines are operational.

Our Hudson Safety Center renovations are well underway! Our home base is going from 1980 to 2026 😎

❓Did you know - the majority of the Fire/Hudson EMS building is from 1979-80, however the addition is from 1992. Part of the building dates from 1954 (which was moved from another site to 40 S Oviatt Street), and yet another part of the building is from the mid-60s.

🔨 We're in Phase 1 of 3 of renovations. Phase 1 includes our fire department bunk rooms, conference room, day room, kitchen, gear washroom, restroom and shower room. This is projected to be complete by end of summer/early fall. Phase 2 will involve the EMS side of the building including EMS bunk rooms, locker rooms, kitchen and general areas. Phase 3 will primarily be administrative offices and storage areas.

Huge shoutout to Izaac Zarges and Eric Tiller — completing a 244‑hour Fire Fighter II course is no small task, especially since the class actually runs about 308hours. Great job!! Thanks for your dedication to HFD.
