☔ Oakdale Summer Camp Weather Update – Thursday, July 30 ☔

Due to the forecasted rain, along with the severe flash flooding and torrential downpours our area experienced today, Oakdale Summer Camp will be operating from our satellite locations to help ensure the safety of our campers and staff.

📍 Satellite Locations:

Ages 5–7: Hudson Youth Center
📍 18 South 3rd Street, Hudson, NY 12534

Ages 8–10: Hudson Youth Center
📍 18 South 3rd Street, Hudson, NY 12534

Ages 11–13: Hudson Fire Department – Central Fire Station
📍 77 North 7th Street, Hudson, NY 12534

Please drop off and pick up your camper at their assigned satellite location during normal camp hours.

🕒 After Care Pick-Up:
All after care pick-up will take place at the Hudson Youth Center (18 South 3rd Street), regardless of camper age group.

🚨 Oakdale Summer Camp Closure – Wednesday, July 29 🚨

Due to the severe flash flooding impacting the City of Hudson and out of concern for the safety of our campers, families, and staff, Oakdale Summer Camp will be CLOSED today.

Please stay safe, avoid traveling through flooded roadways, and follow any guidance from local emergency officials.

📚☀️ Summer Tutoring Opportunity for HCSD Students! ☀️📚

The Hudson Youth Center and Promise Neighborhood are exploring a new Summer Tutoring Program designed to help HCSD students stay engaged, build confidence, and strengthen academic skills throughout the summer.

📅 Dates: July 6 – August 14
⏰ Time: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
🎓 Geared toward students entering Kindergarten through 5th Grade
📍 Open to HCSD Students

At this time, we are surveying families to gauge interest in the program. Space will be limited, and completing the interest survey will help us determine participation levels and program needs.

If you think your child would benefit from summer academic support, we encourage you to complete the interest survey today!

📢 Spots are limited, so let us know you’re interested by completing the survey!

Interested in supporting our work? Join the team of Community Scientists sampling the water quality at Oakdale Lake this summer.

Join us for a training on June 20th from 10am-Noon at Oakdale Lake, 132 North 6th Street.
