WANTED: A few new members!
The Sheriff's Posse is looking to add some new faces and horses to our team. It's a great way to spend more time with your horse and give back to the community at the same time! Our main focus is search and rescue, but we do many parades and PR events.
We will be holding tryouts on May 2nd & 3rd from 1:00-5:00 each day at SAW Horse Farm in New Richmond.

Several weeks ago the Posse was called out to assist local law enforcement, fire departments and EMS to search for a missing 88 yr old woman with dementia. 4 Members of our team were able to respond to the call. This ended up being a challenging situation for us because it was dark and the riding conditions were less than ideal. Needless to say, we were very proud of our horses! While on our search, we got the call that the woman had been found, alive and well, by the Fire Department. We are beyond thankful for this outcome and all of the efforts of everyone involved!

Good morning friends! We may have several spots available to participate in our emergency rescue clinic. We are giving first priority to first responders, but we've started a wait-list as spots become available. There are also limited spots for auditors. Hello Sheriff's Posse friends! The Posse is going to host a large animal rescue clinic for our local veterinarians, FD, PD, Sheriff and EMS departments. We feel, as horse owners, that this will be an extremely important skill set for our first responders to have! Horse and trailer accidents happen!
We are looking for sponsors to help us put the clinic on. Can you or your business help? We truly appreciate your support!

It was a chilly afternoon for Bell ringing, but we still had fun! Sadly we didn't bring our horses this year because our driveways were too slippery to get the trailers out safely. Thank you to all of the generous folks!
